Your first blog post should tell us about your candidate. Who is s/he? What is his/her background? What is her/his political experience? Why is this person qualified to be the next president of the United States? What is essential to know about this person to understand his/her 2016 campaign?
Your blog posts should be approx. 500 words. They should include links, images, multimedia, etc. when appropriate (which is probably always -- what better way to keep your audience interested?) More information will be provided in an assignment sheet on Blackboard.

Hi Sydney I really enjoyed your blog, it gave me a chance to understand Jeb Bush as a candidate rather than what his family already has done ahead of him. It gave me an idea of who he is,his party and experience, and how he might be qualified for president that I didn't no already. Thank you

ReplyDeleteOlivia, I thought that you did a great job in this blog post. I honestly had never learned or really heard much about Carly Fiorina and so your post helped me get to know her more. I am following and blogging Scott Walker who also did not graduate college. I thought it was interesting that Fiorina didn't either and you did a great job as turning that into a positive instead of a negative!
DeleteOliva, I agree with emily - you did a great Job explaining who your candidate is and what he can do for the country. Im actually a fan of Carly Fiorina and how she condones herself. A strong candidate who comes off as clear and savy and isn't intimidated. Good Job on Blog 1

ReplyDeleteGreat blog post, Collin! I knew who Jeb Bush was, but I didn't know much about him. Thanks to your blog I now know more about him and what he stands for! I thought you presented him in a very informational but entertaining way. Great job!

ReplyDeleteHey Jeremy, great blog enjoyed it thoroughly until the end. "The Donald" has been on my radar for some time now, ever since "the apprentice". I also thought it was interesting that he's been on WWE, getting down and dirty. Also the married five times was interesting, although not shocked. Good job on the blog man.
DeleteHey Jerm, great post. I was very interested reading your blog since we are both blogging about the same candidate. I wanted to see where we were going to talk about the same stances and where we were different. I thought that we both talked about a lot of the same ideas. Trump is a very qualified professional businessman and I am interested to see if he is going to be able to transition that businessman mentality to lead our nation if he were to be elected.

ReplyDeleteHello Mckinlea! i found your blog to be very informative in that I didnt know who Martin O'Malley was. He seems he is one of the more experienced members running with the 15 years of public service. i enjoyed reading and learning about who is. Thanks and great informative post!

ReplyDeleteGood post Jake. I was interested reading this post to see what was going to be said about him. I was interested watching him in the Repubican National Debate because he is a very out there candidate. He has some interesting views like you said about not being against the NSA, yet he joined the Tea Party. Interested to see how long he lasts as a candidate. Good job!
DeleteWow amazing informative post Jake. You enlightened me in many ways and i feel smarter about myself. One of the best blogs ive ever read and for that I thank you. The comment about his racist remarks at one point is a huge weakness to him and the african american community that I love. tisk tisk Rand! Great job!

ReplyDeleteHey Emily, when i read your blog i was flabbergast with all the information and detail you put into it. Me not knowing who Scott Walker was, at all, now has better understanding on his policies and his place and popularity in Wisconsin. It was pretty interesting knowing that he hasn't graduated college, maybe one of the only candidates that haven't.

ReplyDeleteStill a little fuzzy on who exactly John Kasich is and his policy going forward from republican debates but this was a great article to give a little information on his start. Really enjoyed your view.

ReplyDeleteHey Eric,
DeleteI too am blogging about Rand Paul this semester so I found your post incredibly informative. While our views on the candidate might differ, it certainly is always good to see the other side of things. You made some very valid points and I enjoyed the read.

Interesting blog on Trump, Trey. While I still think he is crazy, you did a good job of at least crediting him for his business accomplishments. Despite his early success, I would be surprised if he made a legitimate run for office.
ReplyDeleteMitch,
ReplyDeleteWonderful blog! I must say, it sure did catch my attention. Before your blog, I knew nothing about Bernie. Now, I feel like I have a great understanding of who he is and where he could take our country. I say this in a positive manner. I really agree with Bernie's view on college education and minimum wage. Everyone, at one point, has not been happy with the amount of money they make. Maybe Bernie will be the guy to make that change?
Best,
Shane J
Elsie,
ReplyDeleteGreat blog. Before reading, I only knew that Dr. Carson was....a doctor. However, I have now acquired much knowledge and feel as if he could represent our nation. Although he does not have as much "political" history, compared to his opponents, I believe he can give everyone a run for their money. Also, I enjoy the fact that Ben is a relax man when discussing in debates and come off with the relaxed vibe.
Best,
Shane J
Good job Allie. I was entertained reading your blog about Joe Biden. I am not pulling for Joe Biden in the election but I wanted to read what other people had to say about him. I guess looking into the competition never hurt anyone too much. I am interested to see how far Joe can go in the Presidential election.
ReplyDeleteNice post Trey, theres some really interesting background material you talked about on Trump I was unaware of. I know he is currently leading in a few polls, but how do you think his campaign will fare out in the long run?
ReplyDeleteGreat post Jazzy! I didnt know much about Joe Biden and now i a much more informed. The comment that was most interesting to me is that he has been unssuccessful with his campaigns so it will be interesting to see what happens.

ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed this post! And I didn't get the chance to cover him unfortunately but regardless I really liked the insightful background information you gave about his life before the candidacy (well recent candidacy that is, not including his stunt some years back). You did a good job highlighting his business strategy and though I may disagree with him on certain issues I'm glad you too a pretty objective approach in crating this.
ReplyDeleteGlad I took a second to read this one as you have done a nice job pointing out exactly who, what, how and why of Hilary Clinton. From what I read I can tell she is an intelligent individual and can bring a new element tot he presidency also it was cool to learn about her early years as well like where she was from and how she was a news paper editor back in schoolgirl I didn't know that previously. Gives me a little just a tiny bit of faith that maybe she can do it. But still a little swayed on #teamBern lol
ReplyDeleteTrey, you're a funny dude! Great introduction displaying who DTrump is. He is very outspoken which you mentioned and is ready to take on this election. Im very interested in how it goes so ill be keeping tabs on your blog. Hope to learn more as we go through the course. Nonetheless, Good Job
